Jon Spencer-Smith

London based Camera Operator specialising in multicamera live music, entertainment and events.

My TV career started 25 years ago when I was fortunate enough to land myself with some valuable work experience whilst still at school and I have never looked back!

Working across a variety of genres, I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. I learnt the mechanics of television production and the craft of camera operation entirely ‘on-the-job’ from some of the UK’s best Camera Operators and Directors.

Over the years I have worked for all the major broadcasters and streaming platforms in the UK and have been lucky enough to travel across the world to shoot large-scale music and entertainment events.

I am skilled at ped and handheld operation and have used all Broadcast and Digital Cinema/Large Sensor camera formats in studios, OBs and on location.

I also have experience working with CuePilot and AR.
