Currently a Freelance Camera Assistant/ Operator where over the past year I have worked on a variety of productions from Live Music, Online Branded and Social Content as well as frequent reality style programmes for Broadcast Television.
Before this I was working at a large leading kit hire company Procam Take 2 for 7 years where I first started as a driver, and I worked my way up through various roles within the warehouse where I was responsible for prepping all lighting and camera kit for a variety of productions ensuring I would maintain high standards for all kit that I would send out to the clients.
In the last few years of my time at Procam Take 2 I was part of their Camera crew department where I would be hired by varied productions across the TV format as a Camera Operator, Assistant and Data Wrangler.
Over my time in industry, I have worked across the UK especially in some real remote areas including Scotland, Cornwall, lake District and the North of Wales when with the crew on multiple series of ‘Landscape Artist of the Year.’
I have also had the experience on working on some long term abroad trips to Croatia and Buenos Aires in Argentina for 2 months at a time. On these jobs I had to overcome the challenges of working in severe hot conditions and driving across Europe when on location in Croatia with production company ‘Monkey Kingdom’ as part of the Made in Chelsea series.
I have had the privilege of working with some larger crews on multi-Camera shows especially across the Music genre. For example, more recently on the BBC show ‘Later with Jools Holland’ which is filmed as a live show in Multi -Camera Setup with over 10 cameras.
I also have a desire for working as part of a small camera crew team to ensure their projects are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
I have got experience with most Camera Systems and set ups including all the ARRI, Sony, and Canon Cameras in particular. I most notably have worked with and operated with, ARRI Amira, Alexa Mini, Canon C500, C300, Sony F55, Venice, FS7, FX9, A7S, FX6 and have assisted with studio broadcast cameras on peds in studios as well.
I am confident and comfortable to help all productions tailor and prep their chosen camera packages and set ups for their upcoming projects.
